Stentorian
Stentorian occupies the gallery as a set of interrelated spatial figures which both inform and deform the space. The installation mines delightful variation by changing the parameters within a simple structural system. Based on a set of varying compression and tension structures, Stentorian manifests a convergence of interests in performance, optimization, plasticity, structure and the ineffable, the inexplicable human sense rendered by the fantastic act of architecture. As a series of undulating vessels, Stentorian touches down with the grace of a Flamenco dancer, achieving presence through plasticity. |
